We need to play Gillingham on a good surface and calmer conditions, with a very wet pitch and high winds the game will be a lottery, we need to give this lot a good thrashing, which I believe we would if the conditions were favourable. A couple of scoops of snows and your wheelbarrows full and you'd only cleared half a foot square on snow, although may be easy this time. 1 reason for the lack of request maybe of damage to the pitch, last time it had covers underneath, so there was some extra protection from someone putting a spade through and pulling up half the turf, this time there probably isn't. Yet I find one aspect slightly puzzling, if not annoying. Much has been said recently with regard to the club engaging with the local community and, at the same time, attempting to attract younger supporters. Lo and behold, we find kids from Marlborough College (10 miles away and with no local affiliation) clearing our pitch while Swindon kids don't get involved. Any ideas ?
