I have a mini beard. Its very mini, and ginger, and only grows below my chin. I want to be able to grow proper stubble like a real man :(

That's a high-risk strategy ben - mistime that one, and all of a sudden you're at the point of no return and ejaculating to a heated debate about Chris Moyles or Reg's reminiscences of classic reserve games of the 60s. That's a good decade of therapy, right there.

That's the problem with being a ginger.

I favour a Yeovil red post myself with T-Shirt tucked under chin.

Caps lock has never been the same since.

Aside from that just eaten my own hand crafted burger, washed down with some red wine and wedges.  Watching shite Tv and saving myself for mayhem tomorrow.

Don't be silly dave.

I'm just thinking about watching some more doctor who. Finished off the fifth doctor era the other day. Colin Baker hasn't grasped me in his first serial though, so I'm thinking about abandoning for some Troughton goodness.

Best Doctor of all time?

I remember struggling with Colin when he took over from Peter Davison.  Never really took to him.

I think Tom Baker and the mad scarves he wore was the defining Doctor for me.  Davison was also excellent but Baker I struggled with.

That's a question and a half. T.Baker I guess is the definitive, although I think he did it for too long, and he doesn't really seem to give a shit towards the end.

I've got a soft spot for the flamboyant arrogance of the Pertwee doctor, with the silly chases with the master and stuff.

I've only watched a few Troughton efforts and he's absolutely brilliant in all of them, which has made me tempted to watch more.

Loved watching Davison recently, hadn't seen much of him before and he was good. He seemed quite a lot like the new doctors in a way, much more so than the other old ones. Probably to do with the companions as much as anything else, stuff like Adric's death and Tegan just generally being difficult.

Never really watched much Hartnell, I've got a vague memory of seeing The Celestial Toymaker but can't remember when.

Seen bit's and peices of McCoy, it seems to be losing the plot a bit at that point. Although I like his scheming cleverness.

Haven't seen the Paul McGann telly special for ages. Apparently some of his audio books are good though (that goes for Colin Baker randomly aswell)

Wow that ended up being a bit long. I guess the answer is I'm not sure.

Tom Baker for me, Troughton, Pertwee were also very good. McCoy and Colin Baker were complete wank as was McCann. Peter Cushing did a good job in the one off.

Cushing doesn't count. And he did two I think.

Why doesn't he count - if McCann does then Cushing does.
After Dr Who Toim Baker appeared in the West End. My brother was having a few beers there when Tom Baker rushed in asked for 2 pints. gulped them down within a couple of minutes ans then went on stage - fair play to the bloke.

What chalkie said. Although Ben is right about McCann in the radio plays - much better in the audio books, although that may have been partly down to the writing, but he does comes across really well on radio

Because it's not part of the continuing story, more like a film remake. McCann is the 8th doctor, as established by episodes since. The "Doctor Who" that Cushing plays has no real relation to the rest (his name for a start).

On the subject of Tom Baker, he's agreed to do a new audio adventure for the BBC having previously refused to. Apparently it was as a favour to Nicholas Courtney (Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart), but he's too ill now so he's been replaced by Captian Mike Yeates. I hope it's not serious, would be nice for the brig to pop up in New Who. He's turned up in an episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures.

The Brgiadier is a legend as was the original Master. although Simm did a bloody good job in resurrecting the Master. The B rigadier is part of my childhood memories. Mind you, Sarah Jane weas as well in a totally different way. Her and Blondie were ace.

With the exception of Eric Roberts they've done quite well with the master.

John Simm was pretty mint, it's a shame they fucked up the ending of that with the jesus doctor stuff. There's an awesome scene in the sound of drums where the Doctor talks to him on the phone, absolutely wonderful.

This reminded me of a letter that was written into VIZ magazine years ago

Dear Viz,
I like to masterbate over the opening credits of Baywatch but always seem to pump my muck just as The Hoff appears on the screen. Am i gay?
