I can't think of King as our manager without a huge smile on my face.

The post-match interviews, the cigars, the continued attempts to score last-minute goals by putting Antoine Van Der Linden upfront (instead of bringing a striker off the bench).

It was a spectacular time for town - sometimes spectacularly brilliant, sometimes spectacularly shit.

I thank him for restoring my faith after the Todd and Evans shenanigans, and for the Parkin-Mooney partnership.

What a brilliant thread.

Kingy was/is ace.

Thankfully it seems that at least some Town fans now realise he did a quite exceptional job with us.

Spent some fun time in his company.  He sent a recorded message that was played at my wedding.

Yeah, Cheltenham away was a real fucking high. 40 years of supporting Town and that was a real fucking low. What a fucking great job he did on that losing run. The fact that nobody wanted him as a manager after us speaks volumes. Cunt, cunt and cunt again.

Cheers CS.  I really thought I was in a parallel universe for a while there.

King knows how to spot a player.

He's an arrogant cunt as a person though. Bit of a problem if you want to succeed in any management position.

At that summed up the nice side of the bloke.

When my first son was born, appropriately named Sam he gave me a bottle of Champagne signed by Sam Parkin and himself. Still stands in my lads room now (Better not open it !!)
Nice touch at the time.

Still at least Iffy took us on to the next level.  And of course every manager we have had since Kingy has managed to ensure we hammer 'nam every time.

Anyway.........
