But is it 'designed' for veggies as a meat replacement alternative?
That's what I don't understand. Does it taste like meat?

That said the Linda Mac sausages and pies are decent enough.
Yeah, they're not bad at all. I'm not a vegetarian either, but I try and have a couple of meat free days a week.

I guess so, but it is what you make of it. Er vaguely, depends if you can remember what meat tastes like (matron)

This is the water. And this is the well. Drink full and descend. The horse is the white of the eyes and dark within.

I often use the quorn mince for stuff like chilli or tacos, it's just filler really.

Surely proper mince is cheaper? You can get British lean mince from aldi for £2.

On the subject of Aldis, anyone managed to get any of their Wagyu burgers in any of the Swindon stores?

I'm not convinced that the store on Mead Way has ever had any.
On the bright side though they do always have bottles of Tribute for £1.25 a pop.

I eat more or less no meat, but will eat fish, seafood etc. Quorn/Linda Mac stuff is OK, but only vaguely like meat....as has been mentioned mince is OK, burgers are OK if piled up with cheese, mustard, gherkins that sort of thing. Likewise sausages are OK if chopped up and included in stir fries etc. Cooking with pulses is more fun, but does tend to require effort.
