I didnt say he was overrated. In fact, I think the transfer fee we paid for him was a bargain.
He is a big head though. No question about that. He was thinking about his next club the day he signed for us. Maybe the old Kitson/Lita/Sidwell mentality has rubbed off a bit on him. I remmember his first interview on the radio, he scored in a JPT game, then said that he would be demanding (yes demanding) that Sturrock start him on saturday.
My point about Cheltenham was that instead of holding his hands up and giving an interview about that game, he chose to give an interview about wanting to play for Liverpool. Poor old Malpas gets all the flack when players like Cox are swanning around inflating their own ego's. Football is a team game, not an individuals one and he should take some responsibility.
