A distinguished former International goalkeeper himself, John Granville won almost every domestic trophy in his native Trinidad with ASL Sports a stint with the Los Angeles Aztecs, who also included the likes of Johan Cruyff and the late George Best amongst their ranks.

Successful playing spells in England followed with stints at Aldershot Town, Millwall and Wycombe Wanderers.

An FA Trophy final appearance against Kidderminster Harriers in May 1991 in front of 25,000 saw Granville play the game with a broken thumb. The Chairboys went on to win 2-1 with former Town striker Keith Scott also in the line-up.

Rejoined one of his former clubs as goalkeeping coach at Wycombe Wanderers where he replaced Northampton-bound Jim Barron.

Joined Swindon in July 2007, following in the footsteps of the likes of Andy Beasley and Fraser Digby in coaching the keepers at The County Ground.

You could say that for many of our former strikers

Fallon perhaps proved the point when he left though.

It's by no means great. The NASL was well on the downward spiral by that point and his successes came in Non-League or Trinidad which is hardly amazing.

Altough no doubt his leaving in 95 was a huge catalyst in our relegation...

Season after wasn't bad though. Walking in a Finney wonderland!

What is the record in a season for a side not to keep a clean sheet, so far nine league games, two jpt, one league cup. In normal time thats over 1,000 minutes that is pretty impressive.

So basically he's abit of a non entity and a bit shit then. I know booing Malpas and the players is a no no but am I allowed to sit behind the dug-out and shout abuse at Granville?

I doubt Oxford even kept a clean sheet for the whole of the 2000-01 season or Derby last season either.

Well, I imagine that teams who finish rock-bottom don't keep many clean sheets!
