I've only just noticed we are playing feltham away, it is right next to where I work so will probably go along to that.
Does seem a strange fixture for us to have though

Have to say the fact that Feltham is still on the list post-Jed is something I (probably quite unnecessarily) find a bit worrying. Sure it's just a coincidence and all that, but I'd be mightily relieved if someone could suggest a good reason why we're playing them.
I do hope the motto of the town is 'warm and fuzzy - Feltham'

It always used to be a nightmare trying to get into Swindon area the entire weekend from my ends. Only moved back after a few years so might not be as bad now.

I lived in Yate for 10 years. Used to wear my Town shirt out and about and got a few funny looks from the mainly Rovers fans.
Mrs is from Yate - one time largest council estate in europe Lived and worked there myself for a time and yes indeed is gas country Was thinking about persuading the mrs to pop down and see her family so I could go Tho can see it being a lesser town team as playing saturday too

It'll be fine going in. More risk of a slow get away. Flying finishes at 6 but the reds are on at 2 something and the f35 may not make it so people may drift earlier. Would have thought it wouldn't be too bad unless heading to m4 from A419 anyway tbh

I thought I read something about the feltham game being planned because it was on the way back from army training?? Nothing too sinister, though I'm almost certainly wrong

According to LP last night that was the original reason, however, Eastleigh cropped up which they thought would be a better test, but as a friend of his is involved at Feltham they said they would still send a "team" there, probably a development squad.

I think I should be reassured by that but for some reason I'm still uneasy. Depends who the "friend" is, I guess.

Rather than worry about Feltham links I'm a bit more worried that with £11 million to spend and having spent a lot of last season co commentating for Wiltshire Radio that the suddenly arranged pre season v Leeds might be linked to a bid for Wes or the Thompson twins.........

Agreed. Who'd have thought a friendly against Bedfont & Feltham would cause concern?
