Who writes this bollocks?

(But as an aside, I'm slightly stunned that the Mail has admitted that some of the best stadiums were built by foreigners.)

Pompey had some of loudest fans at the CG i've seen in a long while actually in pre-season. They took about 1,000 but imagine how loud they'd have been with 3,000?

Old Trafford number 5 what a joke,I would have Fratton Park higher than old trafford, pompey fans are loud as fuck, that's one of the reasons they do so well at home.

Most of that list is bullshit.

Why laugh at Loftus Road, I've always said it's one of my favourite grounds in the country, at the back row of Loftus Road your closer to the pitch than the front row at Molineux.  Proper ground.

Indeed, Loftus Road has to be one the best smaller grounds around.  Great place to make some noise as away fans all packed into a 2 tier stand but still feeling as if it's a sort of terrace.

Love Griffin Park as well, when the away fans were in the 2 tier stand behind the goal.

Old Trafford is a cracking Stadium but not very atmospheric from my visits.

Not been there, but Upton Park always looks like it should be a cracker from the TV but the new stand was put a little further away from the pitch wasn't it?  That was the problem at Wolves, building so far away from the old pitch.  Mind you, it was worse during the many years it took to redevelop it, or so I was told by my Dad.

I've no idea how either Bristol ground made the list, Ashton Gate must be on a par with our ground for atmosphere these days, what with them failing to use the best stand for their own fans (for making some noise) but overall the sound seems to just drift away wherever you are.

I wonder how much effort new ground architects put into acoustics and arranging stands and design to encourage more noise?  If you could copy the QPR design, that seems to work as it's so compact for a 20k ground.

Loftus Road is my favourite away ground by some way.  Not really up on my lower league Scottish fitba but why are Raith Rovers in that list, at number 29?
