Doubt many of these are in our price range

Andre Ayew
- Tarique Fosu
- Ronan Curtis
- Lewis Grabban
- Sammy Ameobi
- Yannick Bolasie
- Jordon Ibe
- Robert Snodgrass
- Junior Hoilett
- Lyle Taylor
- Ruben Rochina
- Junior Stanislas
- Andre Gray
- Steven Fletcher
Cant see us being able to offer a suitable wage for any of those players TBH.

Mansfield, Wrexham, Salford and Newport managers have all came out saying they are dipping int the freer transfer pool of players in the coming couple of weeks. Br a lot of competition for all of them, I would think all of those players would comfortably find teams above L2 though (barring maybe high spending Salford, Mansfield and Wrexham

Yes, I think we will be fishing in the 'fallen between the cracks' Brewitt/McEachran pool rather than the 'names' waiting for a pay day.

Winger Uwara Edwards completes a free move from Bristol City to Colchester.

Absolutely this, I am making a list of free players, 90% will be out of our range I would think though.

It'll be the Malachi Fagan-Walcott types I imagine... let's see.

Provided we actually can reinvest the Wakeling money.

Do you spend the Wakeling money now on a couple of free agents or do you risk waiting until January with more targets available?

It does seem to happen quite regularly. I wonder what the benefits are for clubs to leave their transfer business so close to the wire that they risk not getting anything done at all. I'm aware that a lot of transfers are like house moves and depend on other transfers happening etc which I guess complicates things but to not get a deal done because of admin or whatever is very sloppy.

I slightly conspiratorially assumed that someone at our end was told to nix the deals for Morris on the sly as we couldn’t afford them.
