i thought he looked okay...he doesn't like running down the wing though, he always cuts inside which is bit annoying.

that's only when he's close enough. i think the general consensus would be he doesn't look bothered enough or is rarely in the right position to make a challenge.

Described him as a languid Steve Mcmanaman style of player on the radio, sounds about right?

Monkey did some good things and some pretty bloody average I thought...good with the ball at his feet and had decent close control - albeit he came inside (ahem) most of the time. He's certainly not a 'beat the full back' winger, to state the obvious

But his workrate wasn't up to much - he still got stuck in, but only if the play was near enough him to bother...

He's the best option for now, and I reckon we could get more out of him - Brown doens't seem interested, but I don't think we should discount David Stroud

I thought Monkhouse did well tonight. Did well with the ball at his feet, but lacks the distribution side of a quality winger. That can be improved however.
No one has really mentioned how well he won headers!? When a goal kick was taken or free kick inside our half, he would start out on the wing, then drift in to head it to Peacock or who ever was nearest him. Thought that was very intelligent play - Getting infront of the man at the last minute and all.
