The whole season now comes down to who is motivated and plays to the best of their ability in the last 3 games of the season.

We know we can beat any of these teams with ease when we have motivation and application. This comes down almost as much to the management as the players, motivation and preparation are vital.

The last few games have been almost meaningless so lets start afresh and hit them hard with our passing pressing game as we did at Rochdale and stay focussed at the back and we can win.

Even a defeat in the first leg is not beyond us overcoming at the CG.

Unbelievably, in the 8 games we have played against the 4 relegated teams we have amassed the grand total of 7 points out of a possible 24
Conversely in matches vs the other teams in the top 7 teams we have taken 15 from a possible 30.

3 points from Shitheads scored 1 conceded 3
0 points from MKD scored 1 conceded 5
3 points from Preston scored 1 conceded 3
3 points from Sheff Utd scored 5 conceded 4
6 points from Chesterfield scored 6 conceded 1

Which isn't too bad.

To find the positives in the negative - maybe seeing ourselves as underdogs isn't such a bad thing.

Most people, including our own fans, thought we were in for a relegation battle at the start of the season, only for the players to race out of the blocks, as if motivated to prove us wrong.

Maybe, after seemingly coming full circle, and being written off once more by our fans and those outside the club, the players will come racing out of the blocks again, and find a second-wind in their desire to prove everyone wrong!

I know he has not set the world alight but I presume Miles Storey's loan has ended at Newport so could/should be added to the squad.

It really doesn't take much effort to sort out information these days, is it?

A couple of clicks and hey presto, an answer.

If you want cheering up, take a dip into the Blades forum.

Thought our lot on here were miserable, pessimistic old cunts.

Wow you're right. All that pre-emptive wrist-slitting has made me more optimistic than anything else in this thread.

Their fans could be our 13th man if things aren't going their way!
