Why are you pretending to be a Town fan?

Wouldn't you ?

Believe me this is going to be a much awaited game. Have to say though the hatred of us by the Pox in my opinion is greater than our hatred of them.
We seem to be mixed up with City and Rovers. About time we sorted this out.

There is only one rival - Pox (They are just loving it in Oxfordshire).

Just beating them home or away nothing compares. They never bring a big crowd to Swindon except for the smoke bomb game. (Roy Burton's eyes have never been the same since).

Forever in our shadow just the way I like it..........Since watching Swindon since 1975 never seen us get beat at the CG. however seen plently of wins at their place.

Sadly both games are going to be early kick off's with the old bill from Oxford and Swindon in numbers.
The only real plus getting relegated to Div 2......and crap football.

The Banter has already started and this season has yet to finish. For any younger Town fan or even Pox fans yet to sample this derby it is the only one that matters. COYR's

The two derbies are going to be fucking brilliant. I don't know if its possible but I hope we don't meet in any other competitions before the first league game.

What kind of allocation would we get?

About 3,500 max I'd reckon

3300 minus some serious segregation, so more like 2800

Be very suprised if Oxford are given the Arkells and the bank- as it is likely that the Arkells would go all to home fans for this fixture- which would leave the scum on the bank only.

Giving the away side 3500 or 25% of the capacity in this fixture would be stupid.

It's hard to predict numbers but I reckon we could give that max a go, I know we've not traveled well to Wiltshire in the past but our away numbers over the last few seasons are very good. The only thing that might put the masses off is the fear of getting caught up in unwanted trouble, but even with a few fannies staying at home we'd bring a load.

At the VERY LEAST I'd say we would bring 2,000, with the potential for 3,500. I'm not a season ticket holder so a bit concerned that I might not get a ticket for the away match.

There's talk of a temporary stand for the match here but I think it'd be a logistical and construction nightmare so its a no-go at boardroom level.

Neither game will be a sellout, they never are.

It will sell out at Oxford as their capacity is lower than ours. But at the CG? No chance.

I do wonder if the 10 year wait may boost the attendance. We'll definitely sell out the away end at their place... I suppose the rest could depend heavily on how each team is doing in the league at the time

Not often that I agree with an Oxford Fan.

Like you I can't wait having been living in Oxfordshire all of my life and knowing many of your fans.

First leg of Conference PO's tonight and tomorrow...so we might have a better idea of who'll we'll get next season...Wrexham, Luton tonight.  Wimbledon, Fleetwood tomorrow.

We should offer them the whole lot. Its not like there could be any more Police costs for this fixture.

It will also stop them selling out and shut them up.
