My ex loved RHCP and Foo Fighters, that was fine by me. Though she did have an unhealthy obsession of dave grohl which was slightly annoying.

my ex was into eminem and all that hip-hop nonsence tried to convert her to the good stuff (proper rock music 1960 - 1993 with the exeption of foo fighters and oasis) but theres no helping some people

People like what they like, I'm not too fussy really but I do find hip hop mostly crap. Some of its OK though, can't beat a bit of old skool hip hop.

nah hip-hop is great, you just got to avoid the mainstream shit - Amir sent me some brilliant mixtapes. The mainstream stuff gives it a bad name. Same with a lot of music really. Sonic Youth aren't too bad either, I used to really like them.

Sonic Youth are probably one of the most creative bands of the last two decades. Thurston Moore is an amazing guitarist as well.
