Les Lacets de Montvernier.....looks mental, but relatively simple....although those in the autobus might disagree.

I'd like him too, but I can't see it - not with the Quintana/Valverde combo working so well.

I don't think it has anything to do with Thomas, it will all depend on how Froome is going.

I remain convinced that what ever it may appear Valverde is working for one man.... Valverde.

He is a devious little sod!

Would appear that the unwritten rule that you don't attack the yellow jersey does not apply to Nibali?

Did you read the comment below?

"when you go from out of contract to the best in the world in a month and dominate cycling for 4 years, this is what happens. get out of cycling chris froome"

The real losers seem to be Contador and Valverde who do seem to have respected the yellow and now have Nibali breathing down their neck.

Shame to see G blow up. Hopefully this tour has been a sign that he's got enough in the locker to challenge at grand tour level in the next couple of years. This has been a brutal tour so not a massive surprise to see him fall just short.

Nibali really is a slimy shite. But again, I wouldn't expect anything less from someone from Astana. Shame he had to resort to that because he obviously had the legs to kick whilst Froome was in the pack. I'd grown a bit of respect for him to keep going after a crap first couple of weeks and keep riding to Paris, instead of just throwing the towel in...shame he's undone all that.

As for the froome/Sky doping shite...hopefully some of those cretins will realise that after today, Froome has only taken a net gain of 30 seconds on the slopes from Quintana so far, Nairo effectively lost (we'll see) the tour in the positioning in the crosswinds in the first week. Hopefully the crowd will be a lot more receptive in the more international support on d'Huez tomorrow...should be a cracking stage.

I didn't watch the highlights until I got back home late last night. Great day of racing, the organisers certainly got the parcours of the whole tour right. Save for those crosswinds early in the first week, the racing could have been even better!

Glad to see Pinot take something away from the tour.
