Si, I need your expertise. Is there anyway to increase the length of my ring tone? I'm always missing calls mostly because I'm too far away from it to get there in time
Have you thought about keeping the phone closer to you? Smiley

More helpfully, assuming you're on FroYo, it's

Home -> Menu -> Settings -> Call -> Call forwarding -> Forward when unanswered -> Delay

(Not sure if it's the same in 2.1)

@Fred, how long is it, then we can judge wether it needs lengthening or not?

If you saved your contacts as Google type they will be synced over the air. I've wiped my phone about half a dozen times flashing different roms and always get them back this way. Cloud sync is great

Sad How would I know that

Yea, maysbe but I don't know everything about phones - now I understand that if they had been saved within google they would be fine...which they wasn't

Oh and PaulD - I rarely do manuals, it's easier to ask others that know the answers save trawling through  Smiley

Yeah, that's fair enough. So long as you don't mind being RTFMed a bit! There's also shitloads of HTC FAQs/Howtos etc easily found on that there t'Interweb

If you do a backup onto the SD card it saves as a standard vcf contacts file. You can then just copy and paste this to a new sd card and then select the import option in 'people' on the phone.

Yeah done that previously on the HTC, what I was saying was that Vodafone gave me a loan which was not a HTC told me I could get my contacts from the mem card and then found that after about 30 mins of trying they realised they couldn't - so I now hope they have not fucked up the mem card for when I get my HTC back so I can just import my contacts back.

I've got to use the Mrs old phone at the moment which is a girly phone...not good !
