there's a bandwagon?!
in all seriousness I think his quality is lacking in the final ball, and he's lightweight. but today he was always available, tried to take players on and had a decent game to boot.
Still didn't whip a cross in when beating his man....needs to work on that. It's divvy 3 football....cross the fucker.

Job done...time to enjoy what's left of the season. Hopefully Power has learned some lessons.
This is what swinging-from-the-chandeliers celebration looks like in Reg-speak. And he was too excited to mention the clean sheet.

...and what about the risk of losing that unbeaten league form at Spotland? Enjoy the final two games indeed...

Didnt quite get the scoreline right in my prediction, but i did state Kasim would score (even if it wasnt a free kick) Doughty excellent and Kasim played well and generally we didnt look troubled at the back, though was that down to our good defensive play or Chesterfields lack of attacking quality, im not sure It didnt look or sound like a crowd of just over 7,000 as appeared very quiet but at least up on the last home attendance. Did anyone else notice something going on between Williams & Embleton with some of the crowd behind the dugout when the goal went in, what was that about? The most important part of today was securing our league one status, it would have been a tragedy if we went down. I just hope lessons can be learnt from this season, as it hasnt been one of great joy sadly.

Was the rendition of No Surrender to the IRA for Jay O'Shea's benefit?

OK seeing as you asked, we've equalled the record for fewest home clean sheets in a season with 2 in the Prem, but still got a bit to do to equal the fewest home clean sheets in Div 3, that being 3 in 55/56. I'd like to think that getting beat 3-1 at Spotland in the cup, might motivate the lads to put the final nail in Dale's PO hopes next week.

I did wonder. There was a rousing rendition of 10 German Bombers as well and I'm pretty sure one or two tried to get the 'Martin Aldridge' song going to boot.

Maybe it's because my excpectations are low, but I enjoyed the game today. Some of the interplay was good and if it wasn't for an ineffective display from Ajose I believe we would have won more comfortably. I like the patient build up and intricate passing; just a shame that it isn't aligned with a robust defence.
