Confirmation from Ipswich that personal terms may be a problem.

If you needed proof that football's gone mad...there you have it.

I'm still sure that football finance has got to go the same way that American sub prime mortgages went 3 or 4 years ago.

I will probably get shot down in flames for posting a rumour but I was told this morning by someone who knows the family that Charlies agent is holding out for £12K a week!!!! The football world has gone mad the lad was playing in the wessex league 18 months ago and is totally unproven above League 1.
Surely the football bubble has to burst soon these wage demands cant continue when everybody elses income is being cut or are losing jobs,

Wasn't Paynter rumoured to be on around £10k at Leeds? If so, £10k should be reasonable, but I guess there's no harm in holding out for more.

That's what I thought. Maybe even considered quite reasonable when you hear some of the figures Championship players are on.

If he is still here tomorrow I don't want him in the team.

Parkin went for about that as well didn't he?

i heard we offered paynter 8 grand a week to stay here, and douglas aint on alot less than that.

10-12k a week to step up a divison, and for a player that moves for a 2 mill transfer fee is totally realistic and believable
