It’s only the middle of November and, at last, we’ve scored the first goal in a game at the CG!

We are very poor. Honestly don’t know how much is Brown’s fault and how much is just down to poor players. It’s such a fog of mediocrity at the moment it’s impossible to know where the blame lays.

Massive. Give Brown his due - today had all the ingredients for an early exit...terrible conditions, non-league opposition but we’ve performed excellently.

Huge win.

I’m assuming Chang has moved on from his ‘ITK’ gimmick to an ‘over exaggerated Reg’ gimmick

Absolutely cracking win, in what could've been an FA Cup 1st Rnd banana skin. As we have seen in the past and today these can be difficult fixtures as is the nature of the FA Cup.

Football League teams not going through or having to play a replay;

Bradford draw with Aldershot
Cheltenham draw with Ebbsfleet
Gillingham draw with Hartlepool
Macclesfield lose to Maidstone
Morecambe draw with Halifax
Tranmere draw with Oxford City
Yeovil lose to Stockport

Quite a few of you will moan regardless. Can only beat the team in front of you.

Just countering the extremely negative elements of our fan base. Not genuine gripes. You know the ones. Processed Meats, StefTroll. The ones who generally post when we have been defeated. Haven't seen them today.

It’s all relative...in the circumstances, that was exactly the type of performance I was hoping for hence my praise. I know a few expect a sort of Guardiola’s Barcelona style of play, but the realists amongst us recognise where we are at and have adjusted expectations accordingly.

The list of results above shows how easily we could have slipped up today.

I bet bamboo is a lovely fella, but I always imagine him to be that bloke you try and avoid in the street because once he starts talking you can’t get rid of him.

Conditions were good. As expected not much between us and a Conference N side. Further good to see a few more in than v FGR in the LC... nearly made 4000. A win is a win  Pint

Take the positives out of the game if we can - 1st round win against a non league banana skin. Twine had a decent first half but faded in the 2nd, Alzate showed lots of neat touches and got the winner, Iandolo put some decent crosses in to no-one in the box and Dunne put in a whole hearted display and probably deserved man of the match. But let’s not fool ourselves, the opposition were very very poor, but I’m pleased we got through it for all concerned!
