Fitton did alot of good for this club and of course we will always remember him fondly for that.

However, when it comes to on the pitch matters Wray is completely and utterly showing him up.

Oh yes, there will be no dissing the Fitton at OST Towers, but JW does seem to be showing how its done. Perhaps Fitton just did not have the time to devote to the job which JW does and which is why AF stood down in the first place.

Fittons problem in my opinion was he thought he was a scout first then a chairman.

He was the one who thought Benyon would replace Austin,he was the onewho thought Morrison would replace Greer but also thought to put silly clauses in contracts.

yep. The classic case of a chairman thinking they know football when in reality they don't.
At least he stepped aside when the reality hit home.

Gary Rose has hinted there could be more activity next week. Good stuff if true.

Fitton seemed alot more of a business man. Wray seems to understand on the pitch football matters more so.

I think it's more he doesn't understand football matters as such and doesn't think he does either.

He seems happy to trust his manager without forcing players on him

Exactly. Fitton didn't seem to be able to help himself in terms of his own footballing opinions, which clearly didn't do the footballing side of the club any good.

Between him, Wray, Watkins et al they seem to have worked it out though and as long as Wray has learnt from Fitton's mistakes - which appears to be the case so far - the club is going to be run in the right way on and off the pitch.

Careful what you wish for! We have to try and keep Ritchie, Flint, Caddis and Ferry yet Smiley

One off the top of my head was when he put one in Morrisons which only Morrison and he knew about. It was news to everyone once he had signed.

Crawley need to ship a few players out due to their financials, anyone know if they have got anyone that would strengthen us

Centre-back McFadzean is supposed to be really good, but i'm not sure whether he'd join us or we even need someone in that position. He used to play alongside Flint for Alfreton.
