First leg of Conference PO's tonight and tomorrow...so we might have a better idea of who'll we'll get next season...Wrexham, Luton tonight.  Wimbledon, Fleetwood tomorrow.

Come on Wimbledon!

Good news, we can do without a trip to The Racecourse next season.

Yep... We lose tend to lose there even when we're doing well in the league.

So with Wimbledon seemingly on their way, we could go and get Mickey Mellon.

Final....should be a remake of the 88 FA Cup semi final...notable for a crowd of 25,963.

Ticks all the boxes for me...young but with a bit of experience, should be looking to take a step up, having been successful with an unfashionable club, and the clincher is Sweatie from the Greater Glasgow area.  I'm sure we all know that as things stand there will be 7 such, managing in the Prem next season...8 if Billy Davies makes it.

No STFC connection...so will come in with a blank sheet.

Not like you to let a Bristol City connection slide though Reggie.

I lived with Fred Ford and Danny Wilson...Mellon only played a relatively few games for them, saw the error of his ways and moved on.

A friend of mine does some freelance work following Fleetwood, and I am well and truley with Reg here. On paper, the best appointment I can spot.

Have to say, I'm warming to the idea. On a sensible note for all the reasons Reg listed. On a less sensible side because:

1) It'd send the Adver forums into a frenzied meltdown if we took a manager from non-League instead of Ancelotti/Hullitt/Keegan/whoever their favoured wildly unrealistic candidate is

2) Micky Mellon - got to be a porn name, surely?
