I may be missing something, but where was Cotterill last successful? And how long has he been out of work?
He did quite well at Notts County but has been shit everywhere else bar Cheltenham.

He'd prefer a club struggling at the wrong end of the table than staying with the shitcunts down the road? Don't blame him.

It could, but might not, after all Brentford did do a Devon Loch last season for which the manager has to be accountable. Swansea have shown that if you get a template in place, then pick a manager who fits the template, it is possible to even improve a side when a gaffer goes. As always with STFC it's a case of might have been....we had the template with Ardiles and then Hoddle/Gorman, but threw it away with McMahon.

I think Rosler only left so he didn't have to face a 5 hour drive to Carlisle today

Would be rather p****d off if I were a Brentford supporter as he seemed to have built a good squad and they are on a roll at the moment and it does not always follow that a new manager buys into the same ethics.
Pity it did not happen just before they played us.

Do lower league managers really earn the chances they are given in the Championship these days. One little bit of success and they are off. And I use success loosely, its not like Brentford are paupers any more so the playoffs were a good achievement but not as unexpected as Yeovil making it.

I realise people will mock me for saying this but Rosler had a good record in Norway before coming to England.
