Bit of a random question but do clubs own the buses they travel to games in or do they just hire it? No idea why it was brought up but after a few beers anything sounds interesting!

I believe we hire ours, but the company name escapes me at the moment. I'd imagine all the Prem sides and the bigger Championship sides have their own

I saw the team coach on the way back from Hartlepool, swear it was a Barnes'

Most of the big clubs have they're own. Saw the Nürnberg coach outside the Wildparkstadion the other day, no way that was hired, was all painted red and black with the badge and sponsors and shit all over it

I know Barnes certainly used to do the buses as my Uncle used to work for them, and he told me a few stories about the McMahon era when the coaches used to come back with the toilet door ripped off etc.

Barnes coaches have for a number of years conveyed our mob to away games....they did once have a special coach all painted up with STFC stuff, with Burmah sponsorship.

But went back to a bog standard when we became skint.

Swindon have a shit team coach now. Even years ago when we were in Prem I went on a work football tour and we hired the Barnes coach that said "Swindon Town FC, Team Bus" on the side...

Bet it just says Barnes now and is a standard crappy coach  Crying

On the plus side we won a tournament in holland and on the ferry on the eway people thought we were swindon town with our little cup on the coach  Cheesy

A source said: "The club want to give the players everything they need to sweep the boards next season. The only problem is the bus is so highly specified it won't be ready until March next year."

that must be why they got knocked out of the league cup...

If only that were true, but sadly isn't.

Apparantly it cost the club quite a bit of money over time with all the repairs.

That was the one we hired, I worked at EMI. We hired it for the same cost as a normal coach from Barnes
