Nicho was our MOTM in my opinion. looked very solid defiensivly and mades some good tackles and blocks. had a decent shot too.
Ifil is such a retard. He even ignores simple passes now in order to hoof it to no-one the thick cunt Cant fault his defending though today Ifil.....I thought he was rather solid....just a shame he is so wasteful with it.

I can fault his defending. The good recovery tackle he made late on was the man that he let go in the 1st place! and he got robbed by Parker (?) for the chance that hit the post
I just dont have any faith that he can go for more than 5 minutes without dropping a massive bollock, and dont see how the rest of the defence can have any confidence in him either.

That was the first time our opponents have failed to score at the CG, and it was more by luck than judgement....we are just a poor side and you'd expect a half decent side, probably ColU to take us to the cleaners.

We looked pretty awful! I bombed it back from Southampton to give the lads my support and they were rubbish! We are just too lightweight!

My thoughts:
- I'm fed up of Evans not rolling it out short. Hoofing it forward is not the answer.
- Pook is diabolical. The game just passes him by, and seeing as he is meant to have an 'engine', he looks surprisingly ufit for a 20 year old.
- Nicho was good today, he made some timely interceptions and tackles, and had a good effort too
- Migs is frustrating... good then bad, Jekyll and Hyde, all in one game
- I think Ifil hates Brown, as every time he was free on the left, he opted for giving them a goal kick instead.
- Holgate had his best first team outing and looked quite tasty in patches.
- STFCLady looks better as a brunette.

It appears to me that we have a goalscorer playing for ColU. What we need in Jan is a creative midfielder. It appears, from comments by you all, and from listening on t'internet that when Migz plays well then the team looks better. So, get someone consistent in there, teach Shakes to cross and get Cureton back to partner Fallon up front.

easier said than done.
there's no way we can rely on cureton coming back to swindon and banging in the goal, the reality is that he'll probably play half a dozen games for us without scoring because he has no service. which is why we're so poor.
if we had a consistent creative midfielder, stef wouldn't get in the team. as things stand, we have to take the rough with the smooth.
as for shakes and learning to cross? you can't teach an old dog new tricks. we can however try to find a winger who can cross the ball.

That was what I meant. Bring in a creative midfielder to feed Cureton and we will have some goals, which will help our defence, which will win us matches, which will give us points, which will propel us up the league, into the playoffs or automatic promotion slots.............OK, lets let Cureton go for nothing, get another bloody loan player up front, play hoof ball, lose a few, draw a few and get ready for League 2. Things are going to boil down to how Iffy constructs his squad for the second half of the season.....as things stand of the 8 loan players...I'd imagine all will be gone (Gurney only because of injury)....Cureton, I think will move to ColU. Certainly there will be no permanent signings, and I'm not sure how many loans are left, but it can't be many...so we're going to have to use more of the kids.

Bouazza was shite Ifil was shite Mikolanda was shite Smith was shite Fallon didnt play particulalry well The only one who impressed me at all was Migs. Holgate and Shakes looked good when they came on as well. Ref had a shocker! How their central defender didnt pick up at least one booking for two GBH's on Fallon I will never know! And holgates booking... what a farce! their boy should have been sent off for retaliation as all Holgate did was jump for the ball. Fact that the blackpool player got caught between two players does not make it a foul, let alone a booking. Over all, im fuming, but at least it was only £15!!!

Ref was very fussy today, insisting on moving the ball a few inches before free kicks and goal kicks could be taken. He also seemed to quite like stopping just after we had taken corners.
Can't blame the ref for the result on this occasion though.

Pretty much agree with Piemonte's 1st post in the thread. We were crap, they were crap, ref and the lino on the South Stand side should both be taken out and given a thorough kicking by the referee's assesor for that "move the ball three inches but we'll let any kind of unarmed combat go so long as the victim's in red" crap. Oh, and I dropped my Coke under the seat in front when we all jumped up to celebrate Mikolanda's "goal" and then when I got it back, it exploded all over me. Not the weather to be sitting in wet jeans. Although it's been a while since I got so excited at a Town game that I wet my pants!
But good to see an improved gate after people's efforts Thursday night and the Keep Town in Swindon postcards went well.
