What was unusual about Rangers 7 - 1 victory against Dundee Utd and Manchester City's 7-1 victory over Barnsley, (I think from the same season)?

Is it Dave Peach?

Good guess at Dave Peach, wrong though but played for Swindon in the same season as Peach signed if my memory serves me correct, and scored one of the most important goals that season (I think!).

Correct  Beers

I'm pretty sure he scored the equalizer at Arsenal in the 79 League Cup quarter final with 5 minutes to go, I could be wrong though.

Both Winning teams had a man sent off?

Was that the league cup match man city v Barnsley from last season, or from the ill fated barnsley premiership season?
