Sorry, but I go to football on a saturday to watch the football. I dont give a flying fuck about anything else such as glow sticks. The result matters, the rest is insignificant.
That's not the point DV85, the problem is not enough people are being enticed by football alone. And if we can attract some people back by putting on some free entertainment and turning the cg into a "circus" for a while so be it. I'm sure glow sticks and face paint will do that  The problem is the prices...!! We've done the loud and proud stuff, have the attendences gone up.

no. but i still think that even with reduced prices there will not be a massive increase in attendance due to our crap league position

I'm not saying it'll work but it's worth continuing. Even if we get a few extra kids coming through the turnstiles it'll be good news for the club.
The prices issue is not going to change, the club cannot afford to reduce admission prices.

On a support note, Doncaster away on a Tuesday night.
There was only about 150 of us, about a third of us singing but Its the best damn support we've had all season. No glow sticks and ballons.
Just proper fans! 220 including those of us in the stand. Counted them myself

With comments like that its no wonder im thinkin of watchin it in the safety of my own home! Birdy youre a NUTTER!! Don't call me a nutter when I have my staple gun in my hand

Then there really would be a love-in. I'm a traditionalist, but I've been able to cope with what's been done so far, I think it's definately helped lift spirits. The only thing that I really can't stand is people crying in football grounds, and we've not seen that yet.

I used to hate it when Newcastle fans were crying after every match in that season when they threw that 58 point lead away and sky would focus in on them all the time.

THOSE CUNTS STARTED IT!!!!
Or at the least popularised it. People think it shows passion, well there's plenty of ways to show passion for your club. It shows how far football has moved from it's roots in a way. Like a mackem said about it at the time, do you think 30 years ago there would have been dockers crying in the Gallowsgate?

I wonder who the first one was to cry, and what reaction he got. A smack in the chops is what he should have got.

It was all Gazza's fault...his pathetic infantalism was somehow mistaken for being in touch with your emotions......bollox.
The sad Geordies then thought this was the way to go.
