When I was a youngish driver before the oil crisis of 74 trebled the cost of petrol, there used to be the phenomenon of the Sunday driver.
This consisted of people usually driving a Morris Minor, who would take an elderly aunt or parent out on a Sunday for a pootle around the roads of England.
Usually they would stick to the lanes, but would have to drive the main roads to get to them......in the summer the day would be made complete by pulling off the road and setting up the Primus for a brew of tea.
They never went over 25 mph.

What annoys me is the drivers with big cars that go very slow.
They go about 30 on a 50mph road and 40 on a 30mph road.
