Moonraker article says we are likely to go after a CB and ST before window shuts.

Well I should certainly hope so. At the bare minimum.

Where's the right back?
Where's the midfielder who can tackle?

Confirmed Smith has a ruptured ACL

Might be my pessimism coming through but that's likely the season fucked then (I have no confidence that we will bring in an adequate replacement)

We will just have to play one of our other 900 forwards that we've 'stacked and racked'

Maybe play a little bit of football as well.

Just have to get on with it. Bradford lost Cook last year and still had a good season after previously being extremely reliant on him.

Just going to have to overcome it then, nothing else we can do

Absolutely. not wanting to sound wise after the event but becoming so reliant on one player is asking for trouble. The only way to look it, is to treat it as a complete reset and a whole host of opportunities has now arisen for the boat load of strikers we have on the books. Some of those realistically won't have been getting much of an opportunity but now the whole dynamic has changed.

Or of course...we could just throw the towel in...suspect Ollie won't be doing that though...

Yeah but he’s also probably played his last game for us…

We desperately need a replacement who can head the ball at set pieces.   Not worried about going forward really as hoofing it is ineffective anyway, our biggest problem is defending set pieces and to a lesser extent scoring from them.

Smith is by far the best we have in both boxes and with him injured Delaney sidelined I just don't see who is going to head it? (Away from the box anyway, Wright can head a ball backwards!)

As much as Smith has been a great player for us, I agree with the posts on here this morning. It means we now have the chance to use strikers as strikers! Tabor is a non league poacher what good is it expecting him to play on the wing and beat men/put crosses in. It’s not his game and a waste of his time.

Seems pretty mental when we've got a big physical cb in a Delaney and a whole Variety Club Sunshine bus full of strikers.... midfielders is what we need I'd have thought...

Defending set pieces has been the greatest concern since the debacle of Tuesday night, as demonstrated in the 85th minute. Let's hope we don't drop too many points before suitable adjustments are made.

I get the reasoning, but it was Smith that decided to wave his foot at the goalie in the hope of distracting him.

It's nobody's fault, just shit luck.

Injuries after failure to give a foul/ late flag for offside are becoming more common.

A situation that needs to be sorted.

The standard of officials we see is supposed to be better than Sunday League. My colleague commented yesterday that the refs he gets on a Sunday (without lino's) are often better than he sees at Wycombe Wanderers games
