From memory, you'll not be allowed access to the ground in any hi viz clothing as it can distract from the actual safety bods/security/etc

Doubt I would be the big Town supporter I am today if it wasn't for the full and loud Town End from when I was growing up and in my teenage years. It was the noise and passion that hooked me to the club.

I know the atmosphere in the TE has been on it's arse for a while but when on the few occasions we do have a big game, there's not much better than a packed TE.

If that gets condemned, part closure or banning any U18s or whatever it is they're doing then it's just shite. Shooting themselves in the foot constantly

So when is the SBC inspection happening to determine whether tomorrow's game goes ahead?

Another thing I notice, they seem to have made the back 6 rows of A6U in the Arkells unavailable each game, with absolutely no explanation.

There is also a small section in DRS DL7 at the front closest to Town End - not entirely sure if its always like this or not - doubt anyone sits there anyway

With all this going on I assume we can take it as a given that the Stratton Bank is officially unusable and won’t be allowed to be used again without significant investment or redevelopment.

I wonder what the allowed capacity of the ground will be after all this, i remember a couple of seasons ago the capacity got restricted because of emergency generator shortcomings. I wonder if there will be similar restrictions in place now.

The CG now officially held together with duck tape and double sided sticky paper just to keep everyone safe..

Can you imagine if an accident of some sort occurs in the crowd during the course of the season and the state of the stadium gets reviewed because of it - wouldn't have a leg to stand on..

I would love to know how often this safety inspection thing is?
Is it yearly or like every 5 years or something?

Is it possible this sorta thing happens ever year? We need certain things done to get the safety certificate & we do the work at the last possible moment : just this year it’s been blown up & made a lot more public?

Safety certificates are reissued annually.

I wonder if there is a correlation between basket cases & stadiums with safety concerns? Silly question.

Sheffield Wednesday also spring to mind.
Birmingham before change of ownership as well.

Maybe the inspections are becoming more stringent, as they should, or they may vary depending on the local authority.

I suspect like any such thing it will depend on the Local Authority and their interpretation. Not been to the CG in years but it must be in a complete state if they are struggling to get a SC considering the state of many stadia up here!

I know that in addition to the wider issues, Morecambe are up shit creak on the stadium as a sponsor who provides something (I don't recall what it is) which is imperative to obtain a safety certificate has said they are doing nothing until the ownership changes.
