Reflecting on yesterday.
Traffic horrendous on M5.
No tickets arriving until 2pm so had to hang around the horrendous ‘fan zone’ - some wench blasting out trash at maximum decibels.
As for the game. We were ponderous, unattractive, unexciting, unadventurous. A succession of long diagonals to players who can’t get past their man or hit and hope crosses into their area - most of which never got near any of our players. Meat and drink for Flint who.played very well tbf.
For all the so called attacking talent we hardly mustered a shot on target let alone forcing their keeper into making a save.
I liked Munroe who although not looking that tall won almost all his heading duels.
For me Holloway picked the wrong team from the outset. We seem to have too many similar type forward players.
Could have done with Sobawale.
Why no Bodin yesterday? Not injured already?
Bodin a little behind on fitness as he came with an injury which Holloway knew about when we signed him.
