Terrible XI aside on this post (who the fuck is Bockham?)......who is out best 'one of our own' XI? Who can even go in it?

Rideout is the first obvious one that springs to mind. Digby was mainly United but was 19 when he signed here, a baby for a keeper, might be a stretch that one.

More recently Twine? Jutkiewicz? Mildenhall? Thompsons?

It's not particularly strong, unless you count people who joined late or started early. I'm going genuine academy so not Morrison or anyone like that, and made at least a few apps for us before being snapped up so no Matt Mills or whoever.

Mildenhall

N Thompson
Sol Davis
Adi Viveash
Minturn

Pook
L Thompson

Bodin B
Twine
Rideout
Jutkiewicz

Sure someone can improve on that, especially with some older players!

I mean I dunno if academy’s were even a thing back then…

…but the birthday boy himself. Born in Swindon, started his career at Swindon, finished his career at Swindon.

Yeah I was kinda assuming we can't go back that far or it's basically most players before then 70s I suppose. Harold Fleming was handy...

Trollope should have been obvious to me but I didn't know Rogers was from the youths as well.

Matt Mills would count for sure, he was our academy at one point.

Oh and I suppose that means Theo Walcott too.

Trollope should have been obvious to me but I didn't know Rogers was from the youths as well.

Born in Paulton, Somerset, Rogers signed a youth contract with Swindon in January 1961 at the age of fifteen; having turned professional in October 1962, he made his first-team debut on 17 November in a Third Division match against Southend United

Might be me, but some of those appearances seem out. Surely Minturn hasn't played more than 100 games??

Thought so. Jutkiewicz, McGregor, Parsons & Tom Smith all seem a lot higher than I initially remember.
