So would it be so bad if we went up? Why can't he be given the budget in League1 especially as we should be able to attract better players?
Do you think the owner can afford league one salaries?

I’m not sure it would be ‘bad’ if we went up by I imagine our stay in L1 & our recruitment process might be very similar to our last (extremely brief) stop in L1 under Wellens. I mean I get he needed to replace Doyle & Yates who were a massive part in our promotion but on the face it - would appear he was never given enough budget to attract adequate replacements. We’d possibly be better off in the sense the current loan players aren’t massive important cogs for our team & if all those OOC in the summer resign but it’s debatable whether we’d be able to recruit well enough to improve the quality. Always possible (likely) we’d sell in the summer too….because….we run at a loss & have sold anyone for decent money yet this season to claw some of that back… Plus - the addition 2m a year in ‘admin expenses’ I assume, honestly

Is the bottom half of League One that much different to League Two in term of wages?

Didn’t the Pox lose £15m getting promoted from L1? If we did get there with the current lit it would likely be an instant relegation battle

According to reports from 2021, 2022 and 2023 the average expenditure on wages for clubs promoted from L2 to L1 increasesby an average of £1.5m with average wage expenditure in L2 being £3.5m and £5m in L1. So it would go up by probably around 44% on average. (using the figures provided by Capology.com).

Lincoln City spent 9.7m and 10.3m in the last two years accounted for, 23 & 24. That's a few million more than we are spending today. The financial benefit from the league is not big enough to cover that, and our revenue from Clem's first season is likely a good fit for a L1 season in terms of attendances. We should be able to compete with Lincoln, but it would be even more of a stretch I think, unless something changes in the way the club is run.

The only comment I’ve had wearing my orange hat is someone asking me if I was saving my pennies to buy the club, to which I replied that I’d won the Euromillions so didn’t need to, but Clem being the crook he is wouldn’t let me see the books as he’s got too much to hide & wasn’t serious about selling. He couldn’t tell if I was being serious, but he hasn’t mentioned it again I didn’t wear it on Saturday, but only because it was too hot Brilliant

If some idiot wants to have a pop at me for wearing an orange hat, I'd be quite up for the fall out of that, yes.
Of course that makes me a bully, dealing with someone having a pop at me.
Fuck off.
You literally said you didn't get the opportunity for someone to say something to you: Fucking hell.
No such luck for me for my one game back in an orange hat. I even went in the arkells.
Dress it up how you like but you're desperate for somebody to say something to you so you can tell them they're a cunt.

Yeah, if someone has a pop at me, I wouldn't mind it at all. I'd quite relish an in life internation with one of these morons.
If you think that makes me a bully, I honestly could not possibly give less of a fuck. Its your problem.

The problem is if you, as someone in an orange hat, gives someone a spray, no matter how well deserved you may think it is, that reflects on the rest of the movement. Dan, Rich and Terry have been very clear that the protests are not there to persuade others of anything, and they've been very clear they don't want to see anyone being abused. Doesn't mean you can't discuss your position, but you're clearly talking about going a long way beyond that.
If you don't agree with that, you might want to consider whether you should be aligning yourself with their cause.
Is having to be the better person and rise above annoying? Sure, but that's the case with every protest movement ever.
You can do whatever you like in your own name, but you can see the problem with saying "I'm a representative of the Spirit of 69 protest group and I think you're a stupid cunt", right?

I’m surprised the Pro Clem lovers haven’t arranged their own demonstrations or displayed banners inside the ground.
