Gillingham were my dads team. We cremated him today so, he’ll be up there cheering them on.

So did you choose Swindon just to piss him off, or did you move to the area.

The whole Ray McHale thing was before my time, but presumably not your dad's. Would love to hear if he hated Swindon and what he thought of you supporting them

If you want to of course.

I was at those McHale games and 10 years later moved to Kent so stepped right in to a cauldron of hatred!

I was too, and make no bones about it Gills fans fucking hate us.

Priestfield was the only ground I have ever been to where bricks, bottles and coins were thrown at Swindon fans from outside the ground, many hitting young kids and old supporters, that was on the Boxing Day (actually the 17th Dec) game in 1987 when we beat them there 3-1.

The hatred from Swindon towards them has died in recent years but trust me it used to be as bad as they hate us. Their hatred of us has not subsided though.

Only if you have the exact change.

Are you going to the GP today?

Whiling away the hours in STEAM at the beer festival.

Don't think that Gillingham's losing run will be extended today, mainly due to law of averages.
A point would steady the ship as will another pint.

The selection will be interesting to see if there has been any major input from Holloway, but the prep would be based pretty much on Kennedy's thinking given the timing of departure.

Maybe just the odd tweak as opposed to major changes for today.

4️⃣ changes from Salford
↪️ Grant Hall returns
🎯 Aaron Drinan back up front

For Gills Masterson, Wakeling and Hutton start and Johnny Williams on the bench.

Still no Galtzel or McGurk in the squad.
