I don't *think* sky sports + for the games via the red button works on the phone unfortunately.

You need to use the sky sports app on mobile, not sky go

Probably need a vpn though if abroad

Pre match why aren't midweek games played on a Wednesday in The Dee Hotel.
Never mind player recovery & welfare, what about the fans.

Starting off in West Kirby for a change (sacrificing valuable drinking time in the process), which I'm guessing is one of the posher parts of The Wirral.
Not been offered any knock-off goods yet, but give it time.

Prenton Park is no longer the happy hunting ground that it once was.
Lost the last three here with pretty poor performances after winning on each of the 5 visits before that.

Aside from the onlooking Khan we are likely to be facing familiar faces in Turnbull & Norris and / or Davison tonight.

A quirk of the fixture list sees Kennedy up against the second of the two former premier league managers in L2.

Initial feeling after Saturday was that we have no chance this evening, but a bit more encouraged after looking at Tranmere's record.
This one does have the look of a drab 0-0 or 1-1 about it.
A point would be fine if it was backed up with a home win on Saturday.

Maybe those in the squad with local connections will be inspired to excel with family & friends in attendance.

Would be disappointed not to see an improved performance & with hopefully more of a clue on how to play to Smith's strengths if he is back in.

Sharper than a Stanley knife or about as useful as a tickling stick in a roomful of Scottish Presbyterians.
We shall see.

I remember going to Tranmere on a Friday night to watch 3 of the divisions top goalscorers at the time (Shearer & White for us and Aldridge for Tranmere) only to witness a 0-0 draw. We stayed up for the weekend & then went to Everton on the Saturday to see them win 1-0.

Tonight I’m not even sure I will bother to watch on TV, sad times

I was at both of those games...my one and only trip to Goodison, didn't go in the Prem season. Fantastic old school traditional ground, will be a shame to see it go. I think it was vs Notts Co....Everton won 1-0 as you say with maybe Cottee scoring the goal...funny I can remember more about that than our own game!

A draw isn't fine tonight. I'd be really dissapointed with anything but a win.

Don't disagree with the sentiment at all & you've mentioned similar before in terms of expectations.

Have always worked on win at home & draw away for the basis of a successful team.

The dire home form has been the issue for a number of years now, Wellens promotion season aside.
That's what needs fixing first & foremost.

It's an opportunity for sure.

I think I'd be ok with a draw and a win on Saturday.

Which is a perfectly reasonable view point. Especially if we were plucking away in mid table.

But we have to start getting wins now.

Tranmere have scored 3 goals all season. Have attempted 25+ less shots than us in total. And we aren't exactly free flowing are we.

I will always hold us to the standard of being a massive club at this level. Even if we don't behave like it.
