Smith had a good first half but the ball went to him less and less in the second

Freckleton scares me. e.g. Can't pass to our players, nearly rebounded it off a useless CF when clearing across the box and got caught out giving away a dangerous freekick (both in the second half).

King looks non league. The U17 lad we played at the end of last season looks better.

I think we started to pass and move forward down the right when Sobowale and Ofoborh came on.

But Adje said all the defence were near faultless

King and Longelo cannot defend, Freckleton is not a centre back.

Freckleton and Smith.

Flip a coin

The defence are nowhere near as solid as I thought they'd bev yet. Can't agree with adje there. We didn't concede but Crewe certainly had us opened up on a fair few occasions. We aren't defending high balls as dominant as I thought we would either.

I'm saying we played 5 at the back. I thought the central 3 mainly did ok.

It was between Smith and Wright for me - so I went with Wright as we kept a clean sheet but didn't score.

Defence = back 3. We don't play full backs

When I say defence I mean back 3. Don't remember them getting the better of us in the air back there to be honest

True, but they're not solely defenders

Blimey, it's just my opinion not gospel! After last week's error strewn defending, the back 3 improved 100% and yeah they were pretty much( not entirely)faultless I thought

I meant Walsall,

But still, if more fans don’t think anyone warrants a vote so go for none of the above, surely that’s a fairer reflection than only a few voting and someone then getting a MOTM when most fans disagree?

Ah,ok. But even then Bycroft had a belter!

Yeah another +1 for none of the above being kept. It’s better balance for seasons like last season and the first few games of this season where needed. If we’re going to be turgid then I’d rather not give out a “best of a bad bunch” man of the match vote unless it’s actually deserved like Kemp a few times last season

If you’re going to have a NOTA I’d change it to “They were all shite”

So 9 votes today for NOTA today is a fair reflection? Ok, so they were all shite?

If people want to vote that way, that’s their choice

Ah well that'll explain it then.

Personally I think setting  backs are part of the defence, but we can argue that until the cows come home
