My point was simply that there is nothing MAGA (let's not call them Republicans because they're not) wouldn't do to win the election which I believe is true. That's not the same as putting forward a conspiracy theory, just saying nothing would really surprise me in that fucked up, divided country. They are extremely dangerous people with no moral code whatsoever.

What I don't get with flat earthers is... What is in it for anyone to lie about it? If the earth really was flat, why say it isn't? Makes no sense...

A globe doesn't correspond with what's in the bible, and regardless of what religious nuts may say, many passages within it depict the earth being flat. So one of their main areas of inspiration (desperation) is to otherwise prove it's not wrong.

It’s a load of nonsense. Exodus explicitly condones slavery too. You would have thought god would be more concerned with that moral outrage rather than worrying about what fabrics you can or can’t mix.
