Gunning:
- Have you seen a performance like that this year?
- We obviously conceded at the end
- Their keeper had a great tgame
- A Salford team in good form
- Anyone who watched that knows we battered them
- We were decent in the first half. Should have scored a couple
- They didnt know how to deal with our game plan
- Its frustrating. Its been doom and gloom for too long here
- We've started to play well again.
- Its been a mad game. Robinson was very complimentary after the game. But they know they have stolen a point
- Maybe we should have put that corner into the box
- Its all learning.
- Had to be careful and manipulate minutes
- Boys have done unbelievably today
- We have not managed the situation well enough
- We have given the players the freedom to express themselves
- McEachran is a good player. He fell out of form. Maybe it was fatigue.
- Standard in training has been fantastic
- We need to get fitter to play the style Gunning wants to play
- There can be a bounce factor in this game. You can get lulled into a false sense of security
- Apart from 20 mins, the performances have been great since Gunning came in
- Would like to play the same team on Tuesday, but have to manage players minutes

Not sure I’m ever going to take to Gunning to be honest, some of the statements in there are a bit bizarre to say the least.

Quote from: Uncletrunx
1) The permanent signings during the January window.

2) The same stupid and unrealistic sense of optimism that I've had since 1994.

hahaha, fair enough on 2!

gunning is a mixed bag. sometimes he talks sense, sometimes he says things like the first half was good, and sometimes he is being utterly sarcastic which is hard to pick up

We are 17th in league 2- and on course for our worst league finish in our history.

Yes performances are better but the table doesn’t lie.

Don’t renew season tickets 🎟️ we have to starve him out

We won’t go down this season but I’m pretty convinced within a couple of years we will be non-league if Clem stays

Sad thing is though 17th in league 2 is acceptable to a large portion of our fanbase

Last 3 teams we have played are in decent form.

Bradford - 1 defeat in 5 (against us) including a win away at Wrexham.
Newport - unbeaten in 7 league games (form team in the league)
Salford - 6 unbeaten including wins away at Crewe and home to Wrexham (6th in league on form)

It's absolutely not good enough for us to be 17th, however there has been some positive changes on the pitch considering the dross we were playing before.

Gills, MK and Stockport as the next three doesn't fill me with much hope.

Don’t think I remember Bycroft having to make a save all game.

thought that was very Flynn like but in reverse. first half was shit bar 10 minutes, second half was better but ... injury time again.

sigh

100%. That Salford side were there for the taking, we turned it up a bit and they seemed to panic. We did that for about 10 seconds then went back to Flynn/Lindsey ball. Gunning did nothing about it for far too long.

It's great that we looked better second half but lets face we are just really shit. We have half a squad not match fit and no real coaching experience.

Why the fuck are we bombing forward at 1 nil up late in the game and yet again subs are an issue for me. Why has he not bought anyone on after the goal to tighten things up and slow the game down. 2 centre halves sat on the bench while we cling on to a lead

17TH in league 2 for fuck sake

Well it definitely seems Clem has got some rest bite and sneaked back to Oz unscathed, even the orange hat murmurs and protest have died down!
