He’s just a fucking idiot. Saying the other day we’ve had a bad patch and bad luck just shows complete denial. This 22 match run is half of the season FFS and we aren’t even 2 thirds through it yet.

Probably referring to the amount of injuries we’ve had.

Bycroft:
- Memorable. Chaotic day to wait for it to go through yesterday
- Disappointed with the result, but loved being out there
- Born and grew up in Salisbury. Used to drive up to watch with his dad
- Transitioned to play at Southampton
- After National League loan spells climbing the ladder.
- Swindon couldn't have been a better place to come up
- Tough game. Makeshift back 4, back 5
- Thought we deserved something
- A good solid week will help the team to gell together
- Football is like any job. If you are new you dont necessarily know all the names
- First 10 mins he was nervous. As wearing Swindon badge means a lot to him
- You have to grind your way through and learn through experience. Hopefully can climb the ladder with Swindon
- Knew what he was getting himself into at Swindon. Ward has helped him as has Mildenhall
- Stays away for all the contract business and all the clauses.
- Debut in football league and at Swindon Town is unbelieveable

Flynn won’t take any responsibility, and won’t change our setup or preparations to change things. He needs to fuck off.

Yes that was a fucking ridiculous response. And the players in "the right frame of mind" comment was equally nonsense. It's up to the manager to get them in the right frame of mind in my opinion. Flynn does absolutely nothing that I would expect a manager to do. These fuckers are pros- make them fucking play!
In fairness, he made it plain before the question by saying he could only select players who were in the right frame of mind.

No manager is going to say 'Stockport are in for him and he wants to go' or 'He won't agree to the contract extension so the club are looking to move him on' or anything else that might be the specific truth.

Not arguing about the criminal defensive incompetence Flynn has presided over.  Nor some of the criticisms of the individual defenders.

But limited to today's performance alone, I thought our midfield saw us become the better team after looking like it would facilitate a heavy defeat.

Crewe created v. little in the second half and their own lapse for Charlie's goal was every bit as shocking.

The difference today boiled down to a moment of quality with their first goal.

And the pedestrian nature of our final ball and finishing instinct - largely because supporting movement off the ball was too slow and because there was a lack of belief in the finishing ability displayed.

Hutton may well have more than one team to choose from and needs a clear head to decide.

Smith:
- Goalkeeper: Could see the way that he plays and interacts with his team mates that he has confidence.
- He didnt look out of place except for the first 2 crosses when he admitted he was nervous
- Didnt have any other saves to make
- Should be proud and happy
- Devoy and Gladzel: Manager alluded to the fact that they weren't up to speed. Another week training and a couple of games and we might see more from them.

Yeah I get that but it's the manager's job to make sure players are in the "right frame of mind" in my opinion though

Yes, I get that but he's a fucking pro. If I was the manager I'd say "you're playing,do your fucking job". He's our player til he goes. Weak management for me. Just my take

Perhaps but it’s also not outside the realms of possibility the man above Flynn don’t want their saleable asset to play just in case he gets injured.

Flynn himself might not want Hutton to get injured either if he’s been promised some of the incoming transfer fee to spend…

This

or a bid has come in (acceptable or not) and Hutton has said he wants to talk to them. Can see this being interpreted as not in the right frame of mind, probably right too

You have to take your hat off to Crewe .  i  do not know a lot about them but it looks like they have developed some form of sustainable  model which brings a moderate level of success at league one / two level .

Meanwhile, we seem to be heading down under .

Fair enough if that was the reason. But if it's solely a "frame of mind" thing then I stand by my comment

Will plough through the thread of despair, but thought that we might have been worth a point on that showing, albeit a rapid dose of Chimay Blue & Red may well have rendered rational judgement useless.

Twas a good day out & sometimes that matters more in difficult times.

Wouldn't want to dye the barnet a la FBT in order to stand out though.
