It's insane technique on the pass from Austin - honestly think some are taking him for granted. We were crying out for experience this time last season. He is it.

Agree. No one is denying he has missed about 8 or 9 absolute sitters this season though.

Newport fans not very impressed with us it seems.

Quote
We were marginally the better side in the first half. Two players made poor decisions for their goal, but it t was a finely judged shot fron their player. Second half we were toothless. That it was only 2-0 is actually an indication of how poor a team Swindon were.

we could not have complained if we had lost by a wider margin.

I think we may look back at this as an ok loss against a top 3 side, while having a huge number of players missing

I am one of these fans which thinks Swindon were bang average yesterday. If we don't give away a stupid goal then you could see that being a backs to the wall 0-0.

Interestingly a lot of Swindon fans on Reddit thought they were pretty average yesterday. The commentary I listened to was the Home commentary as my iFollow was on the blink and they were v critical of their players. They frequently made reference to the fact that if we were slightly better they might have been punished for being sloppy.

That's what I saw too.

Someone posted earlier that the reason RHM was able to score was because he didn't have time to think. I think there is something in that. I also think that this might have been the one time out of 10 that it hit the back of the net, while the other 9 times might have ended up in the Town End or hitting the corner flag.
To be fair though,he had plenty of time to think about the one v Sutton. But that's him, enigmatic!

1st half was very poor but I thought we were pretty much totally in control all 2nd half and Newport looked a very poor side, in the 1st they showed a lot more though and I was concerned when it was only 1-0 as I still thought they could get back into it.

the last one had about 10 pages that consisted of trolling. Pretty embarrassing to be honest.

Exactly what we said after - he's great to run and do, just don't give him thinking time

TBH on matchdays I often contribute about 6 or 7 pages on my own! rather than just 6 or 7 posts in total.
