Cain 4-12 weeks - yikes!
That severely weakens the squad.

Says he feels fine but the scan shows a very small tear. Can’t see how that can be the same as the time Clayton has been out.

What was wrong with him, anyway?

Cain 4-12 weeks - yikes! May go to a back 4 tomorrow. Clayton almost there.

Young has been feeling under the weather for a week or so - not playing tomorrow May be a good thing.

Sounds like Ukakwe could face the chop.

Fuck. Really bad news on Cain.

Suddenly it makes sense why he's been bringing Young off and not Austin.

Stand in manager bounce, players may well just go for it like under Gunning vs Grimsby last season. We will miss Youngs pressing and possibly goals too.

Could go either way.

Att: 17,022 (703 Swindon)

I think the 'new manager bounce' is one of those fallacies that is simply the players applying themselves better in order to stay in the team and impress the new guy. Bradford's confidence will be very low. If we can get an early goal we could go on to win handsomely. The longer it goes goalless the more Bradford will fancy their chances and you'd imagine the crowd would get right behind them.

Surely there is a plan, defensively, when the 2 CBs charge upfield. If there is it’s hit and miss whether it’s carried out or not.

It works if a midfielder is available to drop in a bit, which seemed to work at Morecambe, but was a glaring hole when we played FGR. With everything so fluid it also can make the midfield look a bit shit as they are also dragged about a bit, the first half at FGR they were neither shielding the defence nor supporting the attack, I think Khan helps in that way.

So there is a replacement for Cain, its not ideal but we possibly have a starter there as it seemed to be Cain vs. McEachran for the starting spot.

Think Genesini and Uwakwe are both potentially CMs too if we need the cover.

Uwakwe definately is, thats his main position when he was at Chelsea, Genesini I havent heard can play there but he can certainly play LWB and RWB. Brewitt has played DMC at Liverpool too.

Odd that Genesini has been nowhere near the team since a perfectly creditable display at FGR.

Who actually is going?

Driving up although feeling shite.
Hughes leaving will make an impact. It has been toxic the last few games at Valley Parade and they will play as if the shackles have come off.
Need to keep it tight for the first 30 mins, concede early and think we will struggle. Score first and reckon we will get a result.
