2-0 loss. Not particularly interested in the result though, I’m looking forward to see how the squad have gelled

Going to guess that we go with something like:
Mahoney
Minturn Brewitt Ward
Genesini Uwakwe
Khan Cain
Shade Young Wakeling
And get pumped 5-2 as a result!

I’m expecting to see the same 11 as Saturday.
Get some minutes in their legs, don’t see any reason to change it.

Agree, save him for Saturday. Maybe a sub appearance late on if it's level

Pre match taking the EFL Cup seriously in The Drapers Arms.
Hopefully Flynn will be as well. An opportunity to play the strongest side available with no prospect of extra time (I think) & should still be fresher than Crewe for Saturday. In theory. And look after Charlie of course.
Got as far the threshold of the away end on Saturday. Hearing the fans in full voice has just whetted the appetite ahead of this evening & Saturday.
I think we'll do ok tonight. Basing that only on Flynn's cup record and the law of averages. Eight consecutive first round exits, but we did hold our own against higher league opposition in those losses. Doesn't count for much but cup ties v Peterborough have traditionally been tight affairs.
Nearly 7 years since last visit here (with fans) & always one of the better away days with the barge pub to look forward to later. A 7.30 kick off and half empty stadium always feels like the hosting club isn't treating it like a regular fixture, we'll see.
Today's fun fact is that Austin scored in the crazy 5-4 defeat here in 2010. If he nets this evening then the statisticians might be dusting down the STFC record books for longest gap between goals against same opposition.
Anyway, might go and have a look at the very impressive Gothic Cathedral, or then again might just go on a pub crawl instead.

I’d agree, don’t think there will be many changes. Give that team an hour and see how it is. If the game is still in the balance try & win it, if not then make a few subs. Almost use this as another pre season game

Be a tight one tonight I think. I reckon we’ll stick with our full strength XI (minus maybe Austin) from Saturday and Peterborough will make a few changes, game will be in the balance until late on when both teams make changes, they bring on their first teamers and we bring on our squad players. 2-0 loss but more interested in the performance and how we’ve gelled.

That Barge pub is brilliant. There is a cracking Thai restaurant there as well - my mate who is a posh fan was telling me as I said I might be going - I'll ask what it is if you like WB?

Yeah, stopped off in Charters a number of times before. Great selection of ales plus a beer garden area on dry land adjacent. Food tends to be an afterthought on away days though! Have heard that the restaurant might be a tad overpriced but glad that both are still going.

The restaurant is called East, and do food from a number of countries. Been there a few times and is usually really good If you are around for a while the Brewery Tap is worth a visit, they do Thai food in there as well

Not bothered if we go out tonight. I just want to see a reasonable performance ahead of Saturday. I suspect we'll play a mix of players that will start Saturday and fringe players, which is fine by me.
