Although having a game called off for a waterlogged pitch in August must be a first?

Ouch! Some people will have paid a fortune to get there on the train. A 2.30pm call off is not very good!

Didn't we have a home game against Rovers a few years back and it was called off after 30 minutes (water logged) and Rovers had a bloke sent off.

Have the ground staff just been caught napping? Surely you can prepare a pitch for this level of rain…?
