LS pod’s theory is the delay is simply down to penny pinching and saving on having to pay him until closer to the season. Not sure we could get too much closer mind, certainly a risk if someone else fancies him!

As interest rates are so high, perhaps the club are trying to leave investments untouched to eek out as much return as possible Smiley

Newport sign Jonny Maxted and Adam Lewis
Maxted is an attrocious keeper. Lewis looks a decent signing though.

Notts County sign Wolves defender Ollie Tipton on loan.

Morecambe sign midfielder Eli King on loan from Cardiff.

MKD sign experienced defender Tommy Smith from Colchester as Zak Jules leaves them for Exeter.

Tranmere look about to sign Rangers winger Alex Lowry on loan.

You have us signing Liam Kinsella's old man in the first post by the way. Some player he was, but probably past his best at 50.

What’s happened to Debrah? Know he’s failed a medical.

I understand they (and Barrow and Colchester) are creating B teams so several of their younger signings may not be ready for the 1st team yet.

Barrow, Colchester and now Stockport have all signed 4 or 5 younger players to try and bring through the ranks ala the Keily/Sandro model but without the risk of relying on them starting every week, which we had to do.

Northampton and Notts County have taken him on trial in the last 9 days but neither have made a serious offer for him yet.

Personally I think he would be a big gamble signing a defender with zero football league experience and a poor history of injuries.
