you have to be fair to those that came on at 60 minutes, they didn't have a lot around them.
Very difficult to judge their performance in those circumstances.
Admittedly you'd hope they'd stand out more
Pitting some of our fringe players with a group of strangers to play against what is a pretty strong City side in that second game does seem unusual. Would it have been more beneficial to hold them back and play against Hereford tonight? (they still might) I dunno, it is what it is, but it didn't sound like there was a lot to be gained from that second game, apart from Ward practicing collecting the ball out of the back of the net. That said, the first game did sound like there were lots of positives to take away. |

I would rather we play teams which resembles league 2 to prepare for the coming season.
You don't play teams in your own league in preseason, so you inevitably end up with a mix of non league and championship. Maybe a random team from abroad who are over here thrown in. |

I didn't mean league 2 maybe a league one club or top national league similar to what we will be playing this season. I agree playing a team from abroad at home may have been a good option. |
