losing 2-1 to City in 60 isn't a disaster, though it's a bit flattering to us given the post, crossbars and saves.  Some positives to take from that.

Now for essentially game 2

Goals fuck all to do with Hutton imo- he’s playing wing back- it’s Lavenier and Brewitt at centre half who look quite suspect.  Sam Bell a top player though

We’ve looked decent in parts I think. So obvious what we need- brick Shithouse centre halves, left wing back and a combative midfielder. Good goal from RHM and Austin. Pearson and Kemp look sharp. Mahoneys shot stopping been very good.

- Duncan Idehen and Seb Palmer playing for us this half

I like the 'idea' of Lavinier at RCB. Not sure I'll like the reality!

Very much agree. Brewitt/Lavs cant be there as the starting 11.

A proper Grant style midfielder to complement probably McEachran and Kemp as well.

lavinier isn't a CB imo. I'll be a bit annoyed if we are really intending him to be.

But I think it's needs must for now

It could work, but not with Brewitt in there. You would want an older head to help him with positioning etc, and the before mentioned destroyer in midfield.

Pleased that the focus is still on the passing game.
Crying out for that sitting midfielder that will cover and plug the gaps.

Brewitt can't be the middle defender. He likes to charge out too often. Might work as a RCB in a three. I think he's fine as a L2 squad player, as discussed ad nauseum, but he's not your main man. Still want to try him at DM.

Good thing for me is it shows we have some quality and where we need to improve. Get those replacements and we are good

I'm sure it's a surprise to no one, but ward is the trialist GK in this half

Dworzak put a perfect cross in there for Charlie Austin...if he was still on the pitch! goal disallowed.

Ward is not a quality GK.
One game at FGR a few years back Yes
But in my opinion surely there is better available
