Not expecting huge tactical changes today, if Kennedy took training as late as Thursday it's a hell of a risk to essentially change all tactics on one day training if that.

No more of a risk than keeping with Kennedy’s shite tactics

I understand he didn't take training on Weds and definately wasn't there Thursday.

Not that it makes much difference TBH.

As you suggest tactics probably won't change much today if at all but hopefully subs may be better and possibly team selection too.

I am guessing they could be the same as Bert Head tactics as John Trollope freely tells anyone who will listen.

Bert used to say "Go out and do your best today lads" and that was it. Often left to the leaders on the pitch to define tactics in games.

Probably! a bit before my time TBH butcan you imagine a manager giving that team talk now?

Trollope also told us about how once Bert used a scout to pinpoint the danger of the opposition, he wrote it on the back of a fag packet and just put the opposition players name on it.

Trollope was given the fag packet with the name and he said he was told to mark him closely. The winger didnt even play that day and Bert gave it up and never had teams scouted again!

Always give new managers a chance and Kennedy got some positivity at the start.  I cannot help but feel he wanted to be sacked as we have all watched freckles mistakes week after week.  he also made a catalogue of bizarre substitutions on a regular basis.  I don’t think Holloway needs to make massive changes.  Pick formation with players in natural positions would be a start.  Remove the glue from both goalkeepers feet that’s sticking them to the line.  Let the goalies know that when they kick long they perhaps shouldn’t aim for the short striker.   Get the ball into the box earlier.  Basic shit that Kennedy somehow couldn’t see.  COYR

FWIW I thought Holloways 1st interview was very positive and he spoke much better than I gave him credit for.

I liked it too. I just think he's very honest and what you see is what you get. Admirable qualities...

Dear oh dear. What a mess. Glad to see Kennedy finally ousted but not sure this has-been is the answer.

We need to stay up. End of.

Than get rid of Bignot, Gunning, Hall, Clem, Russell, Zav, Kiely, Hart and all the other crooks at the end of the season. I can dream right.

Given his experience and time out of the game, we may for once he lucky and hit the jackpot by employing a man who's clearly passionate, committed, wants to still prove something and fortunately for us, actually knows the history of the club, has seen where it has been and can go, and what it means to long suffering supporters.

Given where we are, basically the lowest ebb in the club's history, at least we're being managed by someone who will care.
