Retaining our place in the football league is the aim this season now. Holloway could be a disaster, it could be absolutely fantastic. We’ll have to wait and see, as fucked off as I am with everything we just got to get behind this now and support the boys on the pitch
For me,that's always been the case regardless of the manager

Well, no need to welcome another clown to the circus of STFC I guess...
This is russian roulette in my opinion and the gun is fully loaded
Gambling 50/50 and at stake is our Football League status
For as much as he used to bang on about ''...our football league safety.'' I do wonder what Reg would have made of all this? The guy bowed out at the right time. He didn't have to see his beloved STFC go through this garbage

Reg was obviously 100% right about the future of the club at the time, that's just not with hindsight. Jesus. It's pretty dire right now isnt it. I admire you all who can still be bothered

New manager new hope! I think people need to get some perspective. My best mate who I was sitting in the stands with last year died of cancer at 45 this year. Ups and downs go with the territory when you support a club like Swindon.

Just watched his first interview. Says good things so I real!y hope he is successful. Wants the fans to expect to win and will be entertained. It's about time something positive happened for US, so hope this happens and we have some much-needed joy back supporting The Town. My view on the ownership won't change regardless. That ship has sailed.

Also wants the fans to return and be vocal to help him and the team. Will they return and help? Who knows. 3 points today, under the interim team and in the hat for the 2nd round next week would be a great start

By the end 100% were against Kennedy. This appointment will be 50/50 but at least it’s an improvement in positivity amongst some people.

Ian Holloway surely has some interesting ways. 7 month contract to save STFC status in the EFL. He needs everyone supporting him. The players must wonder what the hell is happening... 1st Kennedy and now Ian Holloway. What a basket case of a football club Swindon has become. Talk about Russian roulette. And to think I put 100 quid on Town to get promoted this year.

Holloway may be exactly what we need at this point, an old head with near 1,000 games in management. It could work in our favour.
Conversely, it may be another Paul Hart scenario where he is way out of his depth after being brought in as a firefighter to save us.
This is football, it could go either way.
Do I hate Holloway? no why should I? hes never spoke ill of Swindon previously unlike Cotterill. He has some personality, unlike Kennedy who was dull as dishwater.
Is he a great appointment? obviously not, but we are league 2 and all managers that would come to us are tarnished by previous failure or are so raw they have no idea what its like to manage a big club in a small pond.
I hope it works, at the end of the day I still love and care for my club I just don't love or perticularly care about those who currently own and run it.

Ive never had ill feeling towards Holloway, just watched his interview and I like what he said for the most part.
He could be exactly whatever need, who knows.
Let's get behind him and give him a chance.

Holloway is a gamble (most mangers are) But at least with a gamble you have a chance for better, for worse or for indifference Keeping Kennedy would have only given us the latter two

Absolutely, it can always go either way with new managers. Kennedy lost my faith weeks ago, dropping players who performed well in the previous game and then changing tactics (what they were) and subbing players who were performing well changing the outcome of games. Kennedy for me had to go before he got us in real relegation danger. The threat is obviously still there but a change can work wonders. I am cautiously slightly more optimistic, rather than absolutely pessimistic when Kennedy was in charge, that is, if Kennedy had full control of tactics which at times I doubt he did.

Honestly think people realise we are in trouble and will put that aside anyway. The Morecambe/Accrington games are going to be huge for him

That was a very passionate interview.
Hope he can enthuse the players.
Interesting to see what team is picked today and then for his first game in charge.
