I don't think Holloway is the new Sheridan.

I do worry he might be the new Phil Brown though.

We can only dream of Brown's mid table obscurity at the moment Cheesy

I remember Browns last game. Think it was away to Colchester. We set up with a back 4 and 3 defensive midfielders. Played for a point and lost comfortably 1-0. It was thoroughly depressing.

Phil Brown being Swindons manager is such a fever dream for me. Like I know it happened but I was paying so little attention at the time I have virtually no memory of it.

That was his last league game, he was still in charge when we beat York City 2-1 in the FA Cup a week later before the Axe fell

Fired for disrespecting Swindon DNA and beating a non-league team in the cup...

You're right. I do remember now.

I am more shocked we actually won an FA cup game.

Took part in last night's OSC Monday Night Panel, gave my views on the short-term and medium term focus for the club and fanbase:

Only watched the clip Dan, but it seemed like it was accepted a little better than it might have been a year or two ago?

Only remember that because Mrs B is from York and she knows the BBC York Shaun Hodgetts! (Whose name is Sharon).

Like Aud the brown era is a faded memory. Can't even remember what position or league we were in when he got the tin tack

Equal 14th in the table! yet that seemed sooooo low at the time.

Under Brown few sides ever got more than 2 goals against us in 1 game yet we didnt score many either.

It was absolutely middle of the table football, playing with Marc Richards up front on his own while playing Adebeyo out wide left and Anderson wide right. Pretty dull TBH and we relied on Doughty in the middle.

Having watched the clip, you do get the feeling that there is still a level of eye rolling whenever somebody goes down the ownership criticism route, but Dan is completely fair and 100% correct on what he says.  I get that the OSC don't like to get out of the ownership bed, but it would be nice for there to be at least a few questions from them occaisionally to add to the noise, not every OSC member can be paid up member of the Morfuni fan club surely..

Ah yes! Thanks.

Would settle for that this season if I didn't think next season would be the same.

I agree and disagree depending on the direction of the wind.

Having no public opinion either way is probably what I think the organisation should be.

Yet they managed an opinion with Power. I guess the difference here is that a) bills are being paid - or rather publicly they aren't not being paid, meaning b) that the club isn't as obviously in imminent mortal  danger (though we have our own views on that).

OSC - raising funds and fluffy bunnies
Trust - holding the club to account and keeping an eye on fluffy bunny boilers.

You can be in both.

As far as I know the OSC haven't defended Clem either? Even though they have apologist in chief in a leadership role now.

Yes, think that's fair comment. Vic didn't cut me off, gave me space to finish what I was saying. No issues from me there.
It's a difficult conversation to have, and people generally don't like difficult chat, but I'll keep banging the drum until my football club is in safe and capable hands.

That's where the LSPod is such safe haven for me and others - the wonderful Rich P flexes no editorial muscles at all, we are free to speak our minds (provided we don't veer into slander/defamation territory). Key thing always - show your workings!
