Mildly amused that Gavin Gunning has managed more games under Clem than two actual appointed permanent managers (Kennedy and Morris). Wouldn't bet against him going last Flynn and Lindsey before the end of the season.

Not a conspiracy but find the agent thing weird. Said on the club interview got an agent the night before then got the job. Said on sky his wife told him to get one a few months ago. Wonder who the agent is? I don't know

Reg would have asked me if we have had any other managers with surnames like toponyms. And while I pondered, he would have asked:"Would you accept Bert Head and Fred Ford?"

I find it extremely unlikely that we sacked Kennedy on Thursday afternoon and magicked up Ollies agent Thursday evening. Surely we tapped him up. That or its a massive coincidence and he has the same agent as, say, Bignot (no I genuinely have no idea).

Not sure you can tap up someone who's unemployed!

According to the interview though Ollie didnt even have an agent - he had to go our and get one, which makes it weirder.

I wonder whether he had tried and failed before, knew that Kennedy was on the brink of getting the Spanish archer and decided to go belt and braces to try and make sure he got it this time (needing the 11 to get to 1000 is I suspect a matter which was focusing his mind to get another job before he got much older). Who knows, whatever happens with the club it will feed into conspiracy theories these days, so no idea.

This was my thought too. Initially thought it was all above board etc then the doubt creeps in. His shady past at Grimsby, if true along with a shady board here if true and his comment of reaching the 1000 games mark, the cynic in me made me question the authenticity of the appointment. Hope I'm on very thinking it and will support him until orivenr otherwise.

So what happened at Grimsby?
Apparently he tried to get a dodgy fella involved in the running of it. Left under a cloud claiming the owner pulled all funding during COVID. All could be true but all could be rubbish. Grimsby fans aren't convinced by him and we're glad he left.. I don't know what to believe and we will never know the real truth

The Grimsby owner was in discussions to sell the club to a fella named Alex May (real name Alick Kapikanya) who had a pretty horrendous criminal history involving a shit ton of fraud. Holloway, it seems, actually seemed to have some backlash at this and left after the prospective owner contacted him. So I'm not sure if he was involved in bringing him in or not. I'm sure there's a Grimsby fan somewhere reading this who can correct me, but that's what I read into it.
He purchased shares under the ownership that hired him which is an odd move, and would understandably cause concern among the fanbase. Again, probably way more to it.
Ultimately he did a shit job as manager there during an uncertain period with ownership issues. Thankfully, he won't have any of that at Swindon!

Ah ok, not quite what I heard but not a million miles off. Proof will be in the pudding. He wants fans to back him and the team will people return?
