Omg you poor child. Those of us stalwarts have seen much, much worse than what has been served up this season.
To be fair it’s the worst I’ve seen - can’t see us finishing above 19th (been supporting the club since 1990)

Look on the bright side, if Tranmere win next weekend then we will be officially safe from relegation, because let’s be fair we may not get another point this season

If you look at Stevenage, you have the perfect example of how things can be turned around.
Two of the last 3 seasons they’ve been 21st and 24th.
This season under a manager everyone hates, but a Manager who knows what he’s doing, they’re in the playoffs as it stands.
Personally, I don’t want a Manager to cuddle at night because he’s a lovely guy. I want a bastard of a manager prepared to say it as it is, and take the appropriate action. It’s not a BBC popularity competition it’s league football.

We ain’t beating that! If you factor attitude, effort and mentality into the equation this is the worst Town team ever without debate.

Likewise it was pretty unanimous that people were happy that Morris was the best choice that Clem could make.

Morris: - First half got ourselves into decent position, but didnt exploit them - Didnt chose right passes. - Didn't get set up in the right position - You'd like to cause a lot more problems - Made unnecessary passes to stop threatening - Lacked a bit of a punch there - When teams get a lead, then they just want to be organised and wait for us to break them down - Players were taking themselves into positions right next to eachother than into threatening positions - When balls go into the box you have to get onto t hem - Still think we had chances - Morris thought we were the better team for large spells - They scored from one touch after a goal kick - You'd like to think we'd have created more chances - Conceding wasn't from attitude. It was that we didn't take responsibility. You have to win headers - Poor judgement not going to meet the ball with a header. - We were in better positions in the first half. - Austin: Always has a problem a couple of days after a game. Wasn't going to start him anyway. So just said to him to get rest and recuperation for the weekend. - Hawes: Why leave Austin behind? - Morris: Just cos I chose to do it. - Hawes: Well you didnt do that against Walsall? - Morris has no problem with Austin. Talked to him after the Mansfield game and said that he wanted to play players who can run across the defence. Had been told by medical staff that Austin always has a reaction a couple of days after a game. So when he decided not to start him, he told Austin to take the day off to recover for the weekend.

If Reg was still around, I'm sure he'd find something to undermine me here, but I am sure I kept my counsel on his hiring. Nothing there to suggest why he would be a good Div 4 Manager. I didn't like the Garner appointment, I wasn't at all sold on Lindsey (gave him time but it smacked of panic) and Morris is just another trying to coach a bunch of misfits that need Managing. Build a foundation, get out of L2 then start the project.

My personal opinion is that we are: Worse than under Sheridan Worse than under Jimmy Quinn Worse than under Iffy Worse than under Paul Hart

I respect Hawes for probing here. Not convinced by Morris’ answers about Austin situation.

It may gave been a unanimous vote at the start of the season. I bet they’re not so bothered now.
