Which would be about 11th in League One, which feels about our "default" position until the last few years.

I know there is some chat on the Transfer rumours site but I thought I'd try and defer it to here if possible;

http://european-football-statistics.co.uk/attnclub/league/swit.htm

This suggests based on historic attendances we are 55/92
Thanks for this, some interesting stats there.

Interesting to see the peaks and troughs. The early 2000s one always slightly puzzled me because we weren't bad then but I guess relatively it was worse than the eras immediately prior which probably had an effect. I'm sure it was a tenner into the Town End too back then.

Someone on Facebook posts the results on this day in previous years, on this day in 1982 we beat Port Vale at home 1-0 (thanks to a Paul Rideout goal) in Div 4 in front of a crowd of 3,602.

To put this in context it was the second biggest crowd in the division that day, The shitheads had a crowd of 4,877 & Notts County had a crowd of 8,061 in Division One

I remember back then if we broke 4k it was a good crowd. Our derbies with Shitty we only got around 5k and the same at Trashton Gate for the return game.

Chelsea were only getting gates of around 13,000 then, too.

I remember going to see us play at Stamford Bridge as late as 1994 and the crowd was only 11k and that was in the Premier League.
